JOURNEY 1 – “We’ve Been Expecting You!” (The Prophets Speak of Jesus)

Key Word: Expectation
Key Thought: The coming of Christ was predicted throughout the Old Testament.
Key Verse: “And He [Jesus] will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His Father David.” —Luke 1:32

JOURNEY 2 – “A Royal Heritage” (Son of God & Son of Man)

Key Passages: Matthew 1; Philippians 2:6–11
Key Word: Heritage
Key Thought: Jesus is the rightful heir to God’s eternal throne.

JOURNEY 3 – “Two Births-Two Miracles” (Mary and Elizabeth)

Key Thought: The long-expected Messiah finally arrives.

JOURNEY 5 – “Safety First” (Jesus’ Escape into Egypt)

Key Thought: Faith in Jesus provides a sure and safe way to escape the punishment of sin.

JOURNEY 6 – “More Than a Carpenter’s Son” (Jesus Grows Up)

Key Word: Growing Up
Key Thought: We are to grow as Jesus did — in favor with God and man.

JOURNEY 7 – “Miracles in the Making” (A Wedding, A Well, and A Pool of Water)

Key Thought: We see the power of Christ in the signs and wonders He did.

JOURNEY 9 – “The Calm in the Storm” (Courageous Faith)

Key Thought: God gives us the grace and courage to respond to Him in faith.

JOURNEY 10 – “Food Divided Multiplies” (Jesus Feeds Thousands)

Key Thought: God has promised to supply everything we need.

Key Thought: When we focus on Jesus, God gives us the power to do His will.

JOURNEY 12 – “Dead man Walking” (Jesus Raises Lazarus)

Key Thought: Jesus has the power to transform our lives.

JOURNEY 13 – “Some I.D. Please!” (Jesus Heals)

Key Word: Evidence
Key Thought: Jesus demonstrated His power through signs and wonders so that people would
believe.
Key Verse: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” —Matthew 16:16
