JOURNEY 2 – “A Look at the Book” (Jesus in the Old and New Testaments)

Key Word: The Great Rescue
Key Thought: From the beginning, God’s plan of redemption always pointed to Jesus.

JOURNEY 3 – “From Convict to CEO” (Joseph’s Rise to Power)

Key Thought: As His child, we must learn to trust God in every situation.

JOURNEY 4 – “The Big Reveal” (Joseph Forgives His Brothers)

Key Thought: Forgiving others allows God to accomplish His purpose in our lives.

JOURNEY 5 – “Land of Opportunity?” (The Hebrews in Egypt)

Key Thought: God has a special purpose for every person who places his/her faith and
trust In Him.

JOURNEY 6 – “Fallen Prince, Chosen Leader” (God Reveals Himself to Moses)

Key Passage: Exodus 2:11–3:22
Key Word: Leadership
Key Thought: Jesus is the great I AM who frees us from the punishment of sin.

JOURNEY 7 – “Excuses! Excuses! Excuses!” (Moses: The Reluctant Leader)

Key Thought: God equips us for the work He calls us to do.

JOURNEY 8 – “What’s Plaguing You?” (God Sends Nine Plagues to Egypt)

Key Thought: God shows Himself strong in behalf of those who choose to obey Him.

Key Thought: Our faith in Christ makes it possible to escape the punishment of our sin.

JOURNEY 10 – “A Hasty Departure” (The Israelites Cross the Red Sea)

Key Passage: Exodus 12:31–15:21
Key Word: Freedom
Key Thought: Faith and obedience free us to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.
Key Verse: “…Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you today.” —Exodus 14:13

JOURNEY 11 – “Man, Oh Manna!” (God Leads Israel into the Desert)

Key Passage: Exodus 15–17
Key Word: Abundance
Key Thought: God is our fully dependable, all-sufficient Provider.
Key Verse: “…put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” —Malachi 3:10

JOURNEY 12 – “The Secret of the Stone Tablets” (Commandments 1-4)

Key Passage: Exodus 19–20
Key Word: Protection
Key Thought: Obedience to God’s commandments protects us from the consequences of
our sin.
Key Verse: “But you are near, O LORD, and all your commandments are true.” —Psalm 119:151

JOURNEY 13 – “The Secret of the Stone Tablets” (Commandments 5-10)
